My brother was selling silver necklaces out of his clothing store for years until the vendor prices went way up. I know that the price of gold and silver has increased, so I supposed that it only makes sense that new pieces would be more expensive too. I found out that he was no longer selling silver necklaces when I stopped in to pick up one for my daughter’s birthday. She had seen it about two months ago and I made a mental note to come back and get it for her birthday. I sure wish that I would have either mentioned it to my brother or just bought it then and put it away.

I wonder if everyone who does sell silver rings, necklaces and earrings, had to raise their prices too. Since most of the bigger jewelry stores are buying gold and silver from everyone for good prices, I suppose that they hope they can sell silver new pieces to you that will replace the old one they just bought.

Now, if the new silver is more and you only get a portion of what you paid for your old prices, then you will more than likely have to have additional money come out of your pocket to buy the new ones. I know that I am going to have to pay about twenty percent more for my daughter’s necklace at a different store than my brothers.
