Posted by TheKing on March 22nd, 2010 I contacted the office supplies store that I was told had the best prices on any office supply you might need and they were closed. I am not sure how an office supplies store can be closed in the middle of the work week. Maybe the person who gave me this stores name and number did not realize that this store might have good prices, but they are not open every day of the week.
I am really not interested in saving money that badly, so I am going to search for and office supply store in town that has normal hours of all the people that it should be serving. I am hoping to use the normal hour office supplies store for everything and if I find that the discount office supply place that has weird hours, is open then I might just stop in there to compare prices and see what the big deal is with them.
I am the type of person who will definitely ask them how they stay in business when they are not even open five days a week. There has to be a really good explanation for that, and I cannot wait to hear it.
Posted by TheKing on March 1st, 2010 My brother was selling silver necklaces out of his clothing store for years until the vendor prices went way up. I know that the price of gold and silver has increased, so I supposed that it only makes sense that new pieces would be more expensive too. I found out that he was no longer selling silver necklaces when I stopped in to pick up one for my daughter’s birthday. She had seen it about two months ago and I made a mental note to come back and get it for her birthday. I sure wish that I would have either mentioned it to my brother or just bought it then and put it away.
I wonder if everyone who does sell silver rings, necklaces and earrings, had to raise their prices too. Since most of the bigger jewelry stores are buying gold and silver from everyone for good prices, I suppose that they hope they can sell silver new pieces to you that will replace the old one they just bought.
Now, if the new silver is more and you only get a portion of what you paid for your old prices, then you will more than likely have to have additional money come out of your pocket to buy the new ones. I know that I am going to have to pay about twenty percent more for my daughter’s necklace at a different store than my brothers.
